Musicians Ran Wang and Annette Bauer cross the Silk Road from east to west, from China to Italy via India.
Vocal and instrumental music by composers from the Iberian Peninsula, whose contribution to the Baroque repertoire of the 17th century is highlighted. Danzas, coplas, seguidillas and ayres, going from the melancholy of a burning heart to the rhythms of fiery dances, embellished with castanets and other surprises.
Imagined and performed by percussionist Daniel Bellegarde of Haitian origin, this show is a true celebration of the links between the rhythms and cultures of Haiti, the French West Indies, Brazil and Celtic traditions.

Sean Carleton is a settler historian and professor of history and Indigenous Studies at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Treaty 1 Territory.
Facilitated by Samir Shaheen-Hussain. Samir is a racialized settler, social justice activist, pediatric emergency physician and author of the award-winning book, Fighting for A Hand to Hold: Confronting Medical Colonialism against Indigenous Children in Canada.
