This Thanksgiving weekend, we are doing a concert fundraiser for the shelter The Open Door. The performance will be at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th of October. Fourteen young musicians of Montreal will be featuring the original 13-instrument version of Appalachian Spring, by Aaron Copland, while in the first half, Justin Saulnier will perform the Violin Sonata No. 4 of Charles Ives.

Appalachian Spring is a piece that relates in many ways to Thanksgiving, it is a piece that depicts the household, the nature of the farm and the life in a village. The piece has been composed five times, so it has 5 different versions! Well! We are very excited to perform one that is rarely programed: the original one.

Please, join us this evening! Invite your friends, parents, grandparents, children, friends, colleagues, everybody is included, the entrance is free. It will be a night of celebration of our home and our relationships, as also an opportunity to give for those who haven't had the same luck. We hope you can join us!

La fin de semaine de l'Action de grâces, nous organisons un concert bénéfice au profit du refuge The Open Door. La représentation aura lieu le 12 octobre à 19h30. Quatorze jeunes musiciens de Montréal interpréteront Appalachian Spring d'Aaron Copland, tandis qu'en première partie, Justin Saulnier jouera la Sonate pour violon no 4 de Charles Ives.

Appalachian Spring est une oeuvre qui se rapporte à bien des égards à l'Action de grâces, car il dépeint la nature, la ferme et la vie dans un village. Le morceau a été composé cinq fois et a donc cinq versions différentes! Eh bien! Nous sommes ravis d'interpréter une version rarement programmée : la version originale pour 13 instruments!

Rejoignez-nous pour cette soirée! Invitez vos amis, parents, grands-parents, enfants, amis, collègues, tous sont les bienvenus et l'entrée est gratuite, mais nous récolterons des dons volontaires. Ce concert bénéfice est l'occasion pour nous de célébrer nos proches et nos amis, ainsi qu'une opportunité de se montrer généreux à l'égard de ceux qui n'ont pas eu la même chance. Nous espérons que vous serez des nôtres!
